Job Description

Job Summary Oakdale ObGyn, a division of Premier Women's Health of MN is currently seeking a fulltime Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our team. Our APP team, which includes CNMs, PAs and WHNPs, provide care to patients in our Maple Grove, Blaine, and Plymouth clinic locations. Our CNMs are responsible for providing well-women care, family planning services, obstetrical and gynelogical care. They collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers, and educate patients on women's health issues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for women's health and an enthusiastic and positive personality to support that passion. Strong communication skills, flexibility, strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a team will help make someone successful in this role. This specific role will see clinic patients only, and will work primarily in our Blaine and Maple Grove clinic locations. The schedule will include evening clinic (10:00am-7:00pm) and daytime hours (7:30am-4:30pm). In addition, two Saturday morning clinic shifts per year are required. This is a fulltime role (1.0 FTE) and will have one standard day off per week. The compensation range for this position is $117,686-$170,019, which is based on previous work experience and education. Starting pay is typically within the first quartile of the range.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides prenatal care through initial examination of patient to assess their health and the health of their baby. Develop personalized care plans for pregnant women based on their individual needs and preferences. Monitor fetal growth and development during pregnancy. Administer routine prenatal tests to monitor the health of mother and baby. Identify and address any potential risks or complications during pregnancy. Provides patient education through guidance to pregnant women on proper nutrition and exercise along guidance and education on breastfeeding and infant care. Provides patient education regarding diagnosis and/or conditions for non-pregnant patients. Provide ongoing postpartum care to ensure the health and wellness of mothers and newborns. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for mothers and newborns. Provides well-woman annual exams, birth control counseling and management, menopausal symptoms, vaginitis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and other general gynecologic concerns. Provides family planning and sexually transmitted infection diagnosis and treatment for all patients.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Ability to exercise good professional judgment. Excellent verbal and written skills for communication with patients and physicians. Sufficient vision and hearing ability (with or without assistance) to effectively monitor patients. May be required to stand, bend, or reach for extended periods of time.
Work and Education Qualifications:
Registered nurse and successful completion of a certified post-graduate program for nurse-midwives Certified for practice by national examination and state license.
