Job Description

Category Schools - Music Therapist Job Type Contract Bring your passion for music and therapy into a meaningful role supporting students with developmental disabilities and autism. If you're a certified Music Therapist seeking a flexible, part-time contract position, this is your opportunity to use your talents in a school-year setting with a supportive nonprofit. Engage with a small caseload of 4-6 students, delivering 2 group sessions each week (totaling 3-5 hours/week). With a commitment to individualized care and creative interventions, you'll help foster communication, emotional expression, and social growth in a welcoming environment.
Key Qualifications:
Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or equivalent credential required Previous experience working with children and youth, ideally with developmental disabilities and autism Strong collaboration skills for partnering with special education staff and families Effective communication and documentation abilities Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to therapy
Core Responsibilities:
