Location:
Nashville / Brentwood, TN (with travel to community partners)
Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday | Approximately 10:00 AM•6:30 PM, Saturday 10-3
Salary Range:
$50,000•$65,000 (dependent on experience and NMT™ certification) About Musical Bridges Are you a Board-Certified Music Therapist looking for a collaborative, team-based clinical home? Musical Bridges is a data-driven, neurodiversity-affirming practice serving the Greater Nashville area. We believe that exceptional clinical care is only possible when therapists are fully supported. That is why we fiercely protect our team's 40-hour work week, building in fully paid administrative, documentation, and planning time so you can leave work at work. When you join Musical Bridges, you aren't practicing on an island. You will be part of a team-based collaborative model of clinical care that relies on regular supervision, peer observations, and dedicated mentoring for new hires. We provide the structure and the community you need to thrive and prevent burnout. Who We Serve We primarily work with kids and young adults experiencing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD). To provide a diverse and well-rounded clinical experience, your caseload may also include some mental health work and sessions with adults in nursing home settings.
What You Will Do Deliver Exceptional Care:
Facilitate dynamic music therapy sessions using play-based interventions.
Support Diverse Communication:
Work closely with clients utilizing AAC devices, PECS, and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) models.
Maintain Clinical Excellence:
Ensure consistent clinical documentation across the team and track measurable data via Google Workspace to assist in step-up/step-down intervention planning.
Embrace Technology:
Utilize provided tech systems to make your session prep and documentation highly efficient.
Collaborate:
Assume positive intent, address challenges professionally, and lean on your peers for clinical brainstorming and mutual support. Paid Professional Development & NMT™ Certification We are heavily invested in the growth of our therapists. While we love utilizing Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT™) principles in our practice, prior NMT™ training is not required to apply. Instead, we fully reimburse and sponsor your NMT™ certification! You will receive heavy mentorship to help you seamlessly integrate these principles into your clinical skill set. Qualifications Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential required (or within 3 months). Strong alignment with neurodiversity-affirming practices. Comfortable utilizing digital tools for data tracking and daily operations. A proactive, team-first mindset.
