Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cardiology Nuclear Medicine Technologist, where you will play a vital role in performing advanced nuclear medicine procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will ensure precise imaging using specialized equipment, contributing to accurate patient assessments and improved health outcomes. Responsibilities Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for cardiac imaging procedures ensuring proper dosage and safety protocols. Operate complex medical imaging equipment such as SPECT scanners with technical proficiency. Implement radiation safety procedures consistently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging processes. Conduct patient care activities including IV insertions, patient positioning, and providing clear instructions to ensure comfort and cooperation throughout procedures. Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), ensuring detailed records of procedures, dosages, and patient information. Monitor images for quality assurance, adjusting equipment settings as necessary to optimize diagnostic results. Collaborate with physicians to interpret images and facilitate diagnostic evaluation based on physiology knowledge and medical terminology. Qualifications Proven experience operating medical imaging equipment such as SPECT scanners. Strong knowledge of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols effectively. Skilled in IV insertion techniques and aseptic methods to ensure safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals. Excellent understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation processes related to cardiology imaging. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent required; additional certifications related to nuclear medicine are preferred. Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems accurately while maintaining attention to detail in documentation. Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) and/or ARRT (N) Join us in delivering exceptional cardiac care through innovative imaging techniques!
