Alumni Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider for a locum tenens assignment in California. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality pediatric care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting. Responsibilities include managing acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. You'll document encounters accurately, support care coordination, and provide family education while adapting to varying clinical settings and schedules as needed. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients in locum assignments Conduct patient assessments, histories, physical exams, and develop treatment plans Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with scope of practice Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families on treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMRAdapt to varying clinical settings, workflows, and schedules across sites Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and safety standards Required Skills Pediatric patient assessment Clinical diagnosis and treatment planning Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging Medication prescribing and management Pediatric emergency and urgent care skills Care coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education Regulatory and compliance knowledge Time management in high-volume clinical settings
