Location:
Lafayette, CO (with floating coverage to Lakewood, Aurora, and Lone Tree, CO)
Position Type:
Locum Tenens / Contract (1.0 FTE)
Assignment Duration:
3 Months (ASAP Start)
Key Responsibilities Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat urgent care complaints across a diverse patient demographic, maintaining an estimated census of 3 patients per hour.
Clinical Procedures:
Perform routine urgent care procedures including, but not limited to, suturing, incision and drainage (I&D), splinting, and toenail removal.
On-Site Collaboration:
Work alongside a robust clinical support team consisting of LPNs, RNs, occasional MAs, and two on-site Emergency Medicine physicians per day.
Documentation:
Utilize Kaiser Permanente's version of EPIC (Health Connect) for all electronic medical records and clinical charting.
Schedule & Shift Expectations Work Week:
Varying weekly shifts from Monday through Friday.
Shift Times:
8:00 AM
6:30 PM | 9:30 AM
8:00 PM | 11:00 AM
10:00 PM.
Weekend Coverage:
Weekend shifts are required (8:00 AM
6:30 PM or 8:30 AM
7:00 PM).
Call Schedule:

Rock Creek Medical Offices (Lafayette, CO)
Primary Site Lakewood Medical Center (Lakewood, CO) Aurora Medical Center (Aurora, CO) Lonetree Medical Center (Lone Tree, CO)
Licensure:
Must hold an active, unrestricted Colorado (CO) state license.
Experience:
Prior Emergency Room (ER) experience is strictly required. Candidates must be comfortable seeing Emergency Severity Index (ESI) acuity levels 3, 4, and 5. High-acuity urgent care experience is strongly preferred.
Certifications:
Board Certified with active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
