Job Description

Collaborative Medicine LLC is a primary care and medication management practice owned and operated entirely by Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs). We take pride in offering expert, patient-centered care with a compassionate and down-to-earth approach. We are not a corporate environment—we believe in forming genuine, lasting relationships with our patients. We take insurance because we believe care should be accessible to everyone, with one goal in mind: to restore trust between patient and provider by allowing clinicians the time they need to truly listen, diagnose, and treat effectively. Our Philosophy In a healthcare landscape dominated by overbooked schedules and rushed visits, we stand apart. We do not double-book patients. We encourage independent APRNs to practice with integrity and autonomy—delivering thoughtful, quality care in a supportive environment that values your professional time and clinical judgment. Our goal is also to improve the lives of independent APRNs by providing the infrastructure, administrative support, and flexibility needed to thrive in private practice—without the corporate red tape. Position Overview We're seeking a Licensed Independent Psychiatric APRN (flexible on Remote only, In Person only or Hybrid) to join our team on an independent contractor (1099) basis. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, detail-oriented clinician who values time with patients and wants to work in an environment where quality care comes before quotas. As an independent provider, you can specify your own maximum patient volume and schedule—whether that's five days a week or three days a week. You'll have the flexibility to determine your own goals, patient load, and charting pace. What We Offer Access to full practice infrastructure, including: Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Billing team Medical assistant, nurse, and receptionist support Fully equipped exam rooms and medical supplies Credentialing with major insurance carriers Bi-weekly compensation (based upon split of allowables) Collaborative environment of experienced APRNs who share resources, knowledge, and support. Autonomy and flexibility to manage your own schedule and patient care style. Responsibilities Provide mental health & substance abuse medication management services to diverse patient populations. Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Maintain accurate and timely chart documentation in the EHR. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Adhere to state and federal regulations governing APRN practice and prescribing. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team communication as needed. Qualifications Current Connecticut APRN license in good standing with ability to practice independently without MD supervision Active national board certification (ex. AANP) DEA and CT controlled substance registration (or eligibility to obtain) Your own active malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain prior to credentialing). Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Minimum 1 year of independent psychiatric experience Ideal Candidate Enjoys working independently but values being part of a supportive team Appreciates a relaxed, collaborative environment—not a corporate assembly line Values time with patients and meaningful clinical relationships Committed to building strong patient-provider relationships where patients feel heard, valued, and never rushed.
