In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver comprehensive mental health care across diverse patient populations. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments using EMR/EHR systems. Prescribe medications independently or within collaborative practice agreements while adhering to DEA regulations and HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality. Manage medication therapy, including psychopharmacology, injection administration, and drug monitoring to optimize patient outcomes. Provide telehealth consultations or in office consultations (optional) and coordinate care with healthcare professionals across various settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating behavioral health strategies, crisis intervention, and acute pain management when necessary. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching techniques to promote recovery and resilience. Experience Proven experience working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (2+ years) in diverse clinical settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or inpatient units. Strong background in behavioral health diagnosis using ICD-10 coding standards along with familiarity with CPT coding for procedures. Knowledge of advanced EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and medical records management. Skilled in utilizing diagnostic evaluation tools when applicable to psychiatric assessments. Prior exposure to telehealth platforms combined with excellent client communication skills ensures effective remote patient engagement.
