Fleming Island, FL 32003 Number of hires: 1 Job Description Step into a full panel from day one. EMDR Trauma Therapy Center is a trauma-focused outpatient practice in Fleming Island, FL. We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to take over an established medication management panel of 150+ active patients, with new intakes coming in every week. This is not a build-your-own-caseload role. The patients are here, the referrals are steady, and the practice is set up and running. We need the right clinician to step in and keep excellent care going without interruption.

Patient population:

primarily adults, with some adolescent clients. We are a trauma-focused outpatient mental health practice — not a substance use treatment program.

Transition timeline:

our current prescriber departs in 60 days. We are hiring now so there is time to add the incoming provider to our insurance panels and complete a seamless handoff for our clients. Candidates who are already credentialed with the payers below — and can start quickly — will move to the front of the line. You see patients. No direct patient contact outside of sessions — our reception staff fields all calls and messages and routes anything clinical to you. Your phone stays yours. SimplePractice EHR — already set up and running, with built-in telehealth 70/30 split in your favor — roughly $86.30 - $96.76 per hour, and it scales with the work you do Schedule Part-time, 1-2 days per week, with the option to increase to full-time One in-person day per week is required at our Fleming Island office Your second day is your choice — in person or fully virtual Flexibility to work your preferred days; self-scheduled within practice hours Compensation & Structure 70/30 split — you receive 70% of collections , the practice retains 30% Estimated $86.30 - $96.76 per hour based on current panel volume and payer mix Paid biweekly 1099 independent contractor position; no benefits package What the practice's 30% covers: billing and claims, credentialing and payer management, scheduling and intake, full administrative support, advertising and marketing, the EHR, office space, and the referral stream. You are not paying separately for any of it — and yes, the coffee is on us. Provider carries their own malpractice/professional liability insurance Responsibilities Psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for a primarily adult panel, with some adolescent clients Manage an existing panel of 150+ patients plus weekly new intakes Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including controlled substances where clinically appropriate Coordinate care with our in-house therapy team Documentation in SimplePractice, in accordance with Florida professional and ethical standards of practice — notes closed within 72 hours of date of service, and within 24 hours for any visit involving a controlled substance prescription or a safety concern Respond to patient requests routed to you by our reception staff within 2 business days — patients do not contact the provider directly Required Qualifications Active, unencumbered Florida APRN license with

certification Current credentialing with insurance panels — we are adding a location to your existing contracts, not starting credentialing from scratch Active Florida and DEA controlled substance prescribing authority Current malpractice/professional liability insurance — coverage is the provider's responsibility in this 1099 role, and proof of coverage is required before the first patient visit Willingness to work in person at the Fleming Island office at least one day per week Established supervising/collaborating physician protocol — the provider is responsible for securing and maintaining their own physician supervisory protocol, as required in Florida for psychiatric practice. A copy of the current protocol is required before the first patient visit. Insurance Panels Preferred panels include but are not limited to: TRICARE (we are out of network) Florida Blue (BCBS) Aetna Cigna UnitedHealthcare / Optum Medicare VA — Community Care Network (Optum) Please note: we are not paneled with Medicaid, and we do not work through Headway.
