In this vital role, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes through comprehensive clinical evaluations, innovative treatment plans, and patient education. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency care. Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertions, catheterizations, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and coordinate care with healthcare professionals. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to quality care for diverse patient populations. Assist in diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, medical imaging, sonography, and specimen collection/processing while ensuring infection control standards are maintained. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to prescribe medications under state laws. Proven experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency medicine experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, CPT coding, ICD coding (including
ICD-9/10
), and HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform advanced procedures including suturing, venipuncture, catheter care, tube feeding management, and dermal filler injections. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (infant/toddler care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), individuals with developmental disabilities or in assisted living settings. Skills in critical & intensive care management such as airway management, ventilator support, dialysis coordination, infection control practices and acute pain management strategies. Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law and hospice & palliative medicine principles is desirable. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or trauma centers.
