In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults, including individuals with commercial insurance and HMO plans. The APRN will be responsible for psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, patient education, and ongoing behavioral health care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments, utilizing advanced clinical skills. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral interventions. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, medication usage, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Current APRN license with certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing. Proven experience working with diverse populations across settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management. Familiarity with psychopharmacology, including prescribing medications under collaborative agreements and understanding DEA regulations. Strong clinical assessment skills with experience in behavioral health, acute pain management, and crisis intervention. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and engage patients compassionately. Additional experience preferred in telehealth services, working with children or geriatric populations, or managing complex cases involving substance use or comorbidities.
