Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
Active and unrestricted Iowa ARNP license.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification.
Active DEA registration.
Experience providing psychiatric assessment and medication management services.
Experience working with adolescent or juvenile populations preferred.
Experience working with adolescent or juvenile populations preferred.
Experience in institutional or correctional behavioral health settings preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance.
Ability to complete required background screening. Responsibilities
Provide scheduled on-site psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and treatment services.
Conduct suicide and self-harm risk assessments and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
Provide psychiatric medication evaluation, prescribing, adjustment, and monitoring.
Issue written medication orders for administration and dispensation as clinically appropriate.
Develop and document medication monitoring plans, including side effects and lab needs.
Meet individually with youth to provide psychiatric treatment services.
Collaborate with staff to support treatment planning and continuity of care.
Provide consultation to support treatment planning and behavior management.
Provide off-site consultation as needed, including during psychiatric emergencies.
Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation of all patient contacts.
Meet required caseload, clinical, and documentation deadlines.
Comply with all applicable laws, policies, and professional standards.
