Job Description

DePaul Community Services of New Orleans operates multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers in the Greater New Orleans area. DCSNO is committed to improving the health status of communities and continues a long tradition of health ministry. DCSNO is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide care in our outpatient clinics. The Nurse Practitioner operates as part of a team with other clinic providers and support staff in accordance with the scope of DCSNO operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides medical services to patients, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases
Prescribe pharmacologic treatments
Serve as health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate
Must have experience working with diverse population
Must be a critical thinker with the ability to problem solve
Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be LA licensed NP in good standing with the State of Louisiana
Three - five years of NP pediatric experience preferred
