Opening:

Anticipated start date: 11/17/2026

Salary Range:

Daily Range of Responsibilities:

Support staff: 1 MD, 1 APP/NP, RNs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, and anesthesia support

Coverage Type:

Nocturnist APP coverage; 7 days on/7 days off - 1 year commitment

Schedule Details:

7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday, for a 7-day block followed by 7 days off. Average of 10 admissions per shift. The provider will admit ICU patients overnight, after which Sound Telemedicine will manage them Orientation details: Can come late afternoon a day early to review EHR, confirm access, hospital tour and shadow with current nocturnist

Procedures:

Admission and discharge documentation; rapid response team participation ICU admissions; coordination of care with subspecialists All adult hospitalist medicine program. Sepsis, CHF, COPD. Nocturnist does admit to the ICU at night, however after admission and order is entered for consult to Sound tele and they manage for the rest of the night

Board Certifications Req'd/Preferred:

Internal Medicine or Family Medicine State License(s): Illinois; must be active at the time of submission. Facility will not wait for licensure.

Credentialing Timeframe:
