Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Care NP to join our rapidly growing team in our Cambridge office location. We are a dedicated primary care office that delivers the best health care to our community. We see 17 - 18 patients per day, ages 13 and up. The CRNP is responsible for providing comprehensive care services, including assessing, and treating acute & chronic conditions, prescribing & diagnosing, performing in-house surgical procedures, and performing DOT physicals. Responsibilities Performs complete physical assessments by obtaining a thorough health history from the patient/ family. Chart Reviews Diagnose, treat, & manage new & existing acute or chronic illnesses. Order appropriate testing for patients such as: labs, x-rays, MRI's, CT's, PFT's, A1C's, etc. Refer patients to specialists for consultations Handling minor lacerations, injections, and biopsies, etc. Scheduling follow up appointments for patients Providing health education to the patient and family Close patient encounters within 72 hours of seeing the patient Consult with your peers when necessary to help manage acute & long term medical needs of the patient. Participates in virtual POD meetings, either at home or in the office, with Privia every quarter. The meetings are usually from 6-8 pm. Participates in peer reviews, chart reviews, staff education, clinical guidelines and annual compliance training through Privia. Make certain the delivery of all medical treatment and care is in accordance with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards, including policies and quality initiatives. Comprehends and ensures all practices and procedures related to the delivery of medical services provided at Eastern Shore Primary Care & Wellness are consistent with clinical protocols, and procedures. Build a favorable working relationship with colleagues and office staff associated with our organization. Hold a positive working relationship with patients and their families. Experience Master's Degree in nursing from an accredited program. Current certification as a Family NP Current BLS, ACLS, or CPR certification Current Maryland state license, DEA & CS license Board certified by the AANP or ANCC Current Maryland RN license Have a minimum of 1 year experience as a NP preferred Must maintain required CME credits Strong computer skills EMR - Athena Demonstrates excellent communication skills verbally or written with patients, colleagues, and employees. Ability to work effectively & efficiently in a busy office setting
