Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, health education, and management of chronic conditions. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The candidate should be able to perform disability examinations for U.S. military veterans as part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Compensation & Pension (C&P) program. The role involves objective medical assessments—not treatment or ongoing care—to provide accurate documentation that supports the VA's disability determination process. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Administer medications and injections as required. Perform diagnostic evaluations and procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and spinal taps. Manage acute care situations in various settings including urgent care, emergency medicine, and hospital environments. Provide care for patients with chronic illnesses, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and those requiring hospice & palliative medicine. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Office Ally for accurate medical documentation. Engage in health coaching and patient education regarding lifestyle modifications and disease prevention. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in case management and discharge planning. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards in all patient interactions. Conduct comprehensive, structured medical history reviews and physical examinations of veterans applying for VA disability benefits. Review military service treatment records, civilian medical records, and supporting documentation. Perform diagnostic evaluations consistent with VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and VA guidelines. Objectively assess and document clinical findings related to claimed conditions (e.g., musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological, psychiatric, respiratory). Enter exam results into electronic medical record systems and prepare clear, evidence-based medical reports. Ensure all documentation meets VA standards for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Collaborate with other examiners (physicians, psychologists, physician assistants) when necessary for complex cases.

provide factual medical evidence without making disability rating decisions. Protect sensitive veteran health information in accordance with HIPAA and VA privacy regulations. Experience Candidates should possess a robust clinical background with experience in various areas including but not limited to: Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers Hospital medicine, emergency room experience, or inpatient care Familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding and CPT coding Experience with telehealth services and outpatient care Knowledge of behavioral health practices and pain management techniques Proficiency in performing procedures such as venipuncture, specimen collection/processing, and medical imaging Experience working with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs Candidates with additional skills in areas: Gastroenterology, infectious disease care, or advanced life support techniques will be highly regarded.
