We look at the whole person and consider the relationship between neurological, psychiatric, cognitive, emotional, medical, and lifestyle factors when developing a treatment plan. The Opportunity The provider will work closely with the physician and initially shadow the physician to become familiar with our practice philosophy, clinical approach, patient population, and treatment protocols. Over time, the provider will take on increasing responsibility for patient care and develop their own patient caseload .
Responsibilities may include:
Providing follow-up care after the physician's initial evaluation and intake. Managing ongoing psychiatric care and treatment plans. Providing medication management and prescription refills within the provider's scope of practice. Monitoring medication effectiveness, response, and potential side effects. Communicating and collaborating with the physician regarding patient care. Providing coverage for the physician when necessary. Developing and managing an individual patient panel. Establishing long-term relationships with patients. Taking a holistic approach to patients with complex psychiatric, neurological, cognitive, behavioral, and medical needs. Coordinating care with other healthcare providers when appropriate. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation. Who Would Be a Good Fit? We are open to candidates at different stages of their careers. This opportunity may be particularly attractive to: An experienced PMHNP or PA with a strong background in psychiatric care who would enjoy working in a smaller, collaborative practice. A seasoned clinician looking for a flexible part-time or PRN opportunity. A clinician in the second half of their career who wants to continue practicing while enjoying greater flexibility. An early-career NP or PA who wants additional psychiatric experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop clinically under the guidance of an experienced physician. An appropriately qualified clinician seeking additional supervised clinical experience as part of professional development or training requirements, subject to applicable licensing and program requirements. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Current Michigan NP or PA licensure. Psychiatric or behavioral health experience. Experience with psychiatric medication management preferred. Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A compassionate and patient-centered approach. An interest in holistic and integrative healthcare. The ability to work collaboratively with a physician while gradually assuming responsibility for an individual patient population. Professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail. What Makes This Opportunity Different? This is an opportunity to practice in a collaborative neuropsychiatric environment where the focus is on understanding the patient as a whole. You will have the opportunity to: Work directly with and learn from an experienced physician. Shadow the physician and become familiar with the practice's unique approach to patient care. Develop your own patient population over time. Provide meaningful longitudinal care rather than simply episodic visits. Work with patients who may have complex psychiatric, neurological, cognitive, and medical concerns. Enjoy flexibility in your schedule and workload. Practice in a supportive, non-corporate environment. Continue growing professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Schedule We are considering:
Part-time PRN / As-needed Scheduling can be flexible based on the needs of the practice and the provider. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, education, clinical training, credentials, and scope of practice. We are open to discussing a compensation structure and schedule that are appropriate for the right candidate. Location Farmington Hills, Michigan Interested?
