Position Summary:

Hope Headache and Neurology is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with various neurological disorders, with a strong focus on headache conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who is passionate about neurology and is eager to contribute in a specialized practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Formulate differential diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising neurologists. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including neuroimaging (e.g., MRI, CT) and laboratory studies. Prescribe medications, including headache-specific therapies, and manage medication regimens. Provide patient education on headache management, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options. Perform therapeutic procedures within scope of practice (e.g., trigger point injections, nerve blocks, neurotoxin treatments - training provided if needed). Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate effectively with the supervising neurologists, MAs, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care. Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Missouri. Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Board certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA). DEA registration or ability to obtain. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with experience in neurology, pain management, or a related specialty preferred. New graduates with a strong interest and relevant rotations will be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of common neurological conditions, particularly headaches and migraines. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
