Job Description

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) - ICU ($15k Sign-On) Join one of the nation's premier academic medical centers and advance your critical care career with WashU Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or PA. We are seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) with critical care experience to join our growing team of Advanced Practice Providers delivering exceptional care to critically ill patients across a variety of ICU settings. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced critical care APPs seeking a challenging, rewarding practice environment with academic medicine, cutting-edge therapies, diverse ICU experiences, and a strong commitment to provider growth and development. Night-only and weekend-only schedules may be available with additional incentives What You'll Do Provide comprehensive management of critically ill patients Develop and oversee complex plans of care Order and interpret diagnostic testing Prescribe medications and advanced therapies Perform critical care procedures Respond rapidly to evolving patient conditions Collaborate closely with intensivists, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other members of the critical care team Typical provider: patient ratio 1:6. Required Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program. Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or recent completion/anticipated completion of accredited ACNP program APRN licensure (or ability to successfully obtain licensure within three months of date of hire). Active licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, and in good standing (or ability to obtain). Certain/additional certifications or experience may be necessary based on area of specialty. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days. Physician Assistant Graduate of PA program. Current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location (or ability to obtain within three months of date of hire). Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days.
