Flexible | Up to 3 Hours Per Week | Onsite Your Expertise Can Have a Lasting Impact Looking for a flexible opportunity that allows you to continue practicing medicine while making a meaningful difference? Southern Health Partners is seeking a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to provide onsite medical care at the Surry County Detention Center. This is an ideal opportunity for a provider looking to supplement an existing practice, ease into retirement, or add a rewarding role with exceptional flexibility. Your clinical expertise will help ensure patients receive timely, quality healthcare in a structured correctional setting where every encounter matters. What You'll Do ✨ Conduct onsite patient evaluations and follow-up visits ✨ Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions ✨ Review and oversee medical care provided by nursing staff as appropriate ✨ Prescribe medications and treatments within your scope of practice ✨ Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary healthcare team ✨ Ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with correctional healthcare standards Qualifications ✔ Active North Carolina Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant license in good standing ✔ DEA registration (or ability to obtain if required for prescribing) ✔ Current CPR/BLS certification ✔ Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills ✔ Ability to work independently while collaborating with nursing staff ✔ Correctional, emergency, urgent care, family practice, or primary care experience is helpful but not required Why Southern Health Partners?
