Schedule:
Part-time, 2 hours/day, 1-2 days per week (potential to grow to full-time within 3-6 months)
Compensation:
$75-$95/hour, based on experience
Employment Type:
1099 Independent Contractor or W2 (candidate's choice) About the Role We provide sexually transmitted infection testing to a client base primarily working in the adult film and sex work industries. We're looking for a licensed NP or PA to join our clinical team to perform STI screening, testing, and treatment in accordance with CDC STI treatment guidelines. This role starts part-time and is expected to expand quickly — most providers who join us at 2 hours/day, 1-2 days/week are transitioning to full-time within 3-6 months as our client volume grows. This is an on-site position based in Wells/Elko, NV. Our clients deserve care that is clinically rigorous, judgment-free, and respectful of the nature of their work. This is a specialized practice area, and we're specifically seeking someone who already brings — or is genuinely excited to build — the mindset and communication style this population needs. Responsibilities Perform clinician-collected swab STI testing (oral, vaginal, rectal, urethral as indicated) and oversee/interpret self-collected swab testing Order and interpret STI panels (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, herpes, trichomoniasis, hepatitis B/C, and others per protocol) Diagnose and treat STIs in accordance with CDC STI treatment guidelines and clinic protocols Provide prescriptions for treatment Deliver results and treatment plans directly to clients with clear, non-stigmatizing communication Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in the EHR Conduct all visits on-site Collaborate with supervising physician (if required by state protocol) and clinical team on complex cases Help identify opportunities to improve intake, testing turnaround, and client experience as the practice scales Who You Are Licensed NP or PA in good standing, able to practice in Nevada Comfortable performing and reviewing STI screening via clinician-collected and self-collected swab methods Working knowledge of, or willingness to closely follow, current CDC STI treatment guidelines Sex-positive and non-judgmental — genuinely comfortable discussing sex work, adult performance, non-monogamy, kink, and high-frequency testing needs without moralizing or making assumptions about clients' lives Trauma-informed in approach — skilled at creating a sense of safety and consent throughout exams, especially for clients who may have prior negative experiences with healthcare providers Discreet and rigorous about confidentiality, given the sensitivity of this client population Comfortable providing on-site, in-person care Reliable and flexible, with the ability to grow hours as demand increases Prior experience in sexual health, LGBTQ+ health, harm reduction, or adult industry-adjacent care is a strong plus, but not required if the mindset is right Why This Role Direct, meaningful impact on a community that is frequently underserved or mistreated by traditional healthcare settings Clear growth path from part-time to full-time as the practice expands Flexibility to structure your contract as 1099 or W2 based on what works for you A clinical team and protocols that already center CDC guidelines, so you're supported rather than building this from scratch Competitive hourly compensation reflecting the specialized nature of this work
