Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Oncology & Hematology About the Practice Join our premier community-based hematology and oncology practice in the Capital Region of New York. Serving patients throughout the greater Albany area, our practice combines advanced, cutting-edge cancer treatments with personalized, compassionate care close to home. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing clinical team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage and care for adult patients with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions. While previous experience in oncology is preferred, we welcome driven candidates looking to advance their careers in this rewarding specialty.
Position Details & Benefits Type:
Full-time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, with no evening or weekend office hours.
Work-Life Balance:
Flexible scheduling options available, including 3-day or 4-day work weeks.
Setting:
Primarily outpatient practice.
On-Call:
Low-volume, shared rotating call responsibilities among the provider team. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, detailed medical histories, and physical examinations. Actively manage and monitor patients with cancer diagnoses and hematologic disorders. Oversee and assess patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other advanced treatments. Order, track, and interpret laboratory work and diagnostic imaging studies. Provide proactive symptom management and compassionate supportive care to patients and families. Requirements & Qualifications Active registration and licensure as a Physician Assistant or Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner in New York State. Current CPR certification. Previous experience in oncology or hematology is preferred.
For Physician Assistant Applicants:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited
NYS/ARC-PA
program. Passing grade on the PANCE exam. Current NCCPA certification.
For Nurse Practitioner Applicants:
