JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care team. As a Nurse Practitioner in our fast-paced urgent care setting, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and contribute to improving patient outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with urgent medical concerns. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, infections, and minor injuries following evidence-based practice guidelines. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab work, and EKGs as necessary. Prescribe medications and other treatments according to state regulations and established protocols. Educate patients and their families on wellness, disease prevention, and treatment plans. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using our electronic health record (EHR) system. Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and patient safety.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Pennsylvania. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized certifying body (ANCC, AANP, etc.). Must have prescriptive authority. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care/internal medicine or a related setting preferred. Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, wound care, and splinting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients and their families. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
