Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans for patients across various settings. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families. Perform specimen collection processing as needed. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in nursing homes and acute care settings. Administer basic life support as required in emergency situations. Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in geriatrics and acute care. Skills Proficient in performing vital signs assessments and interpreting results. Strong understanding of geriatric care principles and practices. Experience in emergency medicine or critical care settings preferred. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration. Knowledge of health coaching techniques to promote wellness among patients. Familiarity with specimen collection processing protocols.
