Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

Position Summary Valley Day & Night Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic family practice team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in primary care, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and health screenings. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions under physician supervision. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols. Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices. Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system. Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists and ancillary providers. Collaborative & Supportive Duties Work closely with supervising physicians to ensure continuity and quality of care. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Support onboarding and mentorship of new clinical staff as needed. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current PA license in the state of Texas (or eligibility for licensure). National certification by NCCPA. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a family practice or primary care setting preferred. Current DEA registration or eligibility. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Certifications & Onboarding Requirements The following certifications must be obtained within the first 2-3 months of employment: Civil Surgeon Designation (USCIS training) Medical Review Officer (MRO) Certification
U.S. DOT
Certification for performing DOT physicals Skills and Attributes Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
