XstremeMD Nurse Practitioners provide high-quality occupational and personal health care, support client needs, and work closely with physicians and clinical teams to deliver safe, efficient patient care.
WHAT YOULL DO
Provide quality occupational and personal health care while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Perform and oversee occupational physicals and testing, including DOT, Non-DOT, Coast Guard, Hazmat, Crane Operator, Asbestos, pre-employment, and return-to-work evaluations. Stay current on OSHA, IADC, and other occupational-health regulatory and reporting requirements. Identify and assess patient, employee, and clinic needs and support appropriate care plans and follow-up. Ensure accurate charting, billing support, client dashboards, and corporate reporting; complete charts within required timelines. Work closely with XstremeMD physicians on outpatient test results, patient/client communication, and prescription support. Review and approve client reporting protocol changes and help maintain consistent clinical processes.
QUALITY & LEADERSHIP
Perform case reviews for complex cases and patient or customer concerns. Maintain required continuing education, licenses, and certifications. Bring sound judgment, professionalism, problem-solving, and an independent work style to the clinical team.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Valid Texas Nurse Practitioner license required. BLS and ACLS certifications required. 5+ years of clinical nursing experience. Experience in Occupational Medicine, Sports Medicine, and/or Urgent Care preferred. Strong interpersonal, phone, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, solve problems, and navigate a wide range of people and personalities professionally. Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and/or physical, as applicable to the role.
SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Part-time schedule: 2 days per week. Scheduled hours: 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. May require travel to perform onsite examinations. Professional clinical/office environment with routine use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and regularly talk, listen, walk, and reach. Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and crouching. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
