On-site, telehealth, or hybrid About the Role We're seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric services within an Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) program serving adults with substance use disorders, including individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions. This is a part-time contract role of roughly 24 hours per week, working alongside an established interdisciplinary treatment team. Work can be delivered on-site, through an approved telehealth platform, or as a hybrid of the two. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and establish diagnoses Provide medication management Develop and contribute to treatment planning Assess and treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Consult with the interdisciplinary treatment team Provide crisis consultation Document clinical care in the designated electronic health record, accurately and within required timeframes Complete documentation supporting billing, medical necessity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities Deliver recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, person-centered care Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Virginia PMHNP license Applicable national certification DEA registration (where applicable to practice) Virginia Controlled Substance Registration (where applicable) National Provider Identifier (NPI) Professional liability insurance or evidence of insurability Eligibility to participate in governmental healthcare programs Ability to complete onboarding, credentialing, background screening, and exclusion screening prior to start Preferred Experience Community behavioral health Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) Substance use disorder treatment Serious mental illness Co-occurring disorders Medication management Crisis or integrated behavioral healthcare Onboarding Selected candidates complete credentialing and required training before beginning services. This may include TB screening, HIPAA and confidentiality training, EHR training, Mandatory Training, Relias modules, corporate compliance, information security training, and background and exclusion screening.
