Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition, ensuring adherence to care plans Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition needs while maintaining a clean and safe environment Document patient observations accurately and update care plans regularly to reflect changing needs Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic living space Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities Proficiency in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification Ability to assist with manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Experience supporting residents with complex needs such as hospice or palliative care Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with team members and families while adhering to HIPAA regulations Join us to be part of a caring community that values your dedication!
