Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide assistance in daily living and personal care in patients homes or facilities in accordance to an established care plan. This role plays a key part in supporting clients remaining as independent as possible, while ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities
Daily Living Skills:
Support patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household items; preparing and serving meals and snacks and assisting with eating; running errands; and other household management tasks.
Personal Care:
Assist patients by providing personal care services such as grooming, bathing and dressing.
Transfer & Mobility:
Assist patients with mobility/transfer needs, ambulation and other exercise.
Care Plans & Charting:
Follow the assigned care plan for each patient and notifying staff nurses of a change in condition or unusual conditions of the patient. Record patient information in appropriate electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other applications.
Professional Development:
Attend quarterly in-service meetings to satisfy continuing education requirements.
Company Culture:
Always project a professional image and attitude while representing AAAWA. Must wear agency-issued identification at all times while on the job.
Other Duties:
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the patient and the team.
