Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as Alzheimer's or memory care. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting clinical teams by delivering essential daily care and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems, medical documentation, and vital signs measurement is highly valued. This position is paid and open to candidates committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Support medication administration under supervision in accordance with facility protocols and HIPAA regulations. Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures, especially in infectious disease or ICU settings. Document patient information thoroughly in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients with dementia or behavioral health needs. Assist with specialized care procedures including catheter care, wound dressing changes, or post-acute care activities. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or hospice settings to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge instructions as needed. Adhere strictly to safety protocols during emergency situations such as Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma center scenarios. Qualifications Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including
ICU, PICU
), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS). Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with vulnerable populations including seniors, children, or individuals with disabilities or behavioral health conditions. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
