Job Description

Come join our team working in residential treatment. We have per diem and full-time positions open on both our swing (3PM-11:30PM) shift and our overnight (11PM-7:30AM) shift. We care about our team and our team cares about our clients.
Qualifications:
Active CNA license One-year experience or part-time equivalent working with persons having chemical dependency and/or mental health disorders. Current California Drivers License and Vehicle Insurance Must be physically and mentally able to assist in an emergency situation. Must have the ability to monitor medication with appropriate documentation and logs Criminal Record Clearance Prior to working/volunteering Health screening with negative TB test CPR / First Aid certification Reports to:
Operations Supervisor Technician Duties:
A:
Client Care 1) Maintain awareness of client safety at all times. 2) Remind clients to come to meals and take medication. 3) Make sure medication closet is closed at all times. 4) Pass out beverages or nourishment as directed. 5) Assist with treatments as directed. 6) Gives appropriate feedback regarding the condition of clients to the Director. 7) Assures basic comfort measures are maintained. 8) Provides for the psychosocial needs of clients. 9) Admits, transfers, and discharges clients as assigned: a) Pull all client related documentation from other areas and place in a chart. b) Pack belongings, strip bed and wash linens when necessary. c) Inventory personal belongings. d) Document Procedures 10)Responsible to report any significant clinical or medical information to
Clinical Director B:
Documentation 1) Completes appropriate forms for each procedure. 2) Accurately charts observations on assigned clients using correct charting format and terminology. 3) Completes weekly and quarterly documentation as assigned. 4) Utilizes electronic health record to record shift change reports and communications
C:
Facility Policy and Procedures Client Supervision Resident rounds every 20 minutes for face to face physical checks (or more frequent checks as directed) Searches belongings for contraband, if appropriate, in a respectful manner, according to center policies and procedures. Participates and assists in client activities as assigned. Encourages all clients to follow program guidelines and rules. Responsible to prepare rooms for admits and post discharge (i.e, linens, house cleaning, discharge walk through and welcome basket for new admits) Provides for the safety and security needs of the clients. Assists as directed in psychiatric and medical emergencies.
D:
Other Tasks Oversee daily completion of tech checklist of duties Responsible for overseeing medication log audits and medication refill tracking sheet Participates in tech in service trainings Responsible for communication log & daily posts Responsible med binder audits Make sure medication destruction form is completed daily Provide companionship and support to clients E. CNA Duties Keep accurate records while monitoring client's medication intake (i.e., medication administration record and medication log must be accurate) Assist with medication refills Record vital signs, height and weight, as directed. Observe clients during medication intake Check in with doctor when onsite Check in with Operation Manager via Medication Audits Make sure that all Med Cabinet is filled with necessities Check in with Kipu (EMR) files daily to make sure clients are up to date with medical needs Make sure medication destruction form is completed daily Making sure to check in with clients regarding refills and faxing information to pharmacy
