In this vital role, you will provide compassionate care and support to individuals in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve while working alongside skilled healthcare professionals. What you'll do Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating to ensure their comfort and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure to maintain accurate health records. Support patients with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs while adhering to safety protocols. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment conducive to healing. Administer medications as prescribed while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Document patient care activities accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Experience High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program is required. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is mandatory; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred. Experience in critical care settings or long-term care facilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, phlebotomy techniques, and aseptic practices will be advantageous. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is a plus. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential for success.
