Full-Time LVN Position:
JOB SUMMARY
The LVN assumes responsibility for nursing care management of residents on the unit to which assigned. The charge nurse also provides supervision of all non-licensed staff
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs nursing procedures competently and within company policy Follows resident rights according to company policy and California law Adheres to company policy in regards to unusual occurrences/reportable incidents Completes assigned assessments, re-caps, and audits in a timely manner Effectively directs the daily functions of caregivers to provide leadership on the floor. Charts appropriately, timely and accurately. Administers clinical services appropriately. Accurately prepares and administers medication as ordered by physician. Manages emergency situations related to resident and staff safety in a leader capacity. Practices dependable, regular attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a Nursing degree from accredited college (LVN) Must be currently registered/licensed in California. One year of geriatric nursing preferred. Must be able to lift 40 lbs floor to waist; lift 10 lbs waist to shoulder; lift and carry 40 lbs; and push/pull 40 lbs. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
