Job Description

Overview Napa Community Health Center has openings for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across various healthcare settings. Your energy, attention to detail, and empathetic approach will help create a safe, comfortable environment for those in your care. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in PCC Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and accurately documenting all care provided in medical records Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, especially in critical or emergency situations Assist with patient transfers using approved transfer methods and ensure smooth transitions between departments or facilities Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, dementia care, memory care, or hospice care preferred Ability to work effectively within PCC for accurate documentation Strong communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members effectively Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required in patient care activities Join us in delivering exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving!
