Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and directly assist patients across a variety of care settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using electronic health records (EHR) systems Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks like catheter care, wound care, or medication administration under supervision Ensure patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and accurately documenting medical records in compliance with healthcare standards Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates and address concerns with caregiver communication skills Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment in accordance with infection control protocols Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, ICU experience, trauma center experience, or emergency medicine is highly valued Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record management Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and basic life support (CPR) to ensure safe patient care practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts is a plus Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to effectively support patients' physical and emotional needs Experience working in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities or home & community care environments is preferred Competence in medication administration procedures following strict protocols and maintaining precise medical records Familiarity with infection control measures including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols Ability to work efficiently within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Meditech while maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA standards Join us in delivering compassionate healthcare that transforms lives!
