As a small, family-owned organization, we prioritize creating a warm and welcoming environment for both our residents and staff. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for full-time shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM or 3 PM to 11 PM. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive setting. No PRN positions are available at this time. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately documenting all findings in Pointe Click Care (PCC). Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Use patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to assist with mobility safely and effectively. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure personalized care plans are followed. Observe and report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff for appropriate intervention. Requirements Valid CNA certification in the state of employment with current licensure. Prior experience working in long-term care facilities or senior care environments preferred; experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care is highly valued. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic patient care procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as CPR or phlebotomy are a plus.
