Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Monitor vital signs, record medical documentation accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and report any changes in patient condition promptly. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques for infection control. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including engaging in therapeutic activities and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Perform catheter care, wound dressing assistance, phlebotomy procedures, and basic life support when necessary during emergency situations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in medical-surgical units, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids while maintaining proper body mechanics and patient safety standards. Support patients in outpatient clinics or home & community care environments by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs. Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices including aseptic technique, and basic life support certification. Prior experience with specialized populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts and standing for extended periods. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide empathetic patient service.
