Overview Looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Rockledge to become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will support nursing staff by assisting with daily patient needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for individuals of all ages and health conditions. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; accurately document findings using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper procedures are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations and safety standards. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs to enhance their well-being. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with catheter care, wound care, and aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals (including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care environments. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records while adhering to confidentiality protocols; utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for patient service tracking. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures essential for safe patient care. Familiarity with advanced care environments such as ICU, Level I Trauma Centers, Level II Trauma Centers, or post-acute/sub-acute care settings. Experience with specialized care areas including Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care, hospice services, infectious disease management, or urgent/emergency care. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; understanding of medical records management is highly valued. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient or outpatient settings; strong caregiving skills are crucial for success.
