Job Description
Caregivers provide support and assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves due to disabilities, age, illness, or other limitations. They help with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication management. Caregivers may work in private homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or other healthcare settings. They must be compassionate, patient, and empathetic individuals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for those they care for.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification or relevant experience as caregiver
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Physical stamina and strength to assist with lifting and transferring patients
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR
- Patience and empathy
