Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver, where your dedication will directly enhance the quality of life for our patients. In this vital role, you will provide personalized patient care, assist with daily activities, and support individuals across various care settings including assisted living, nursing homes, and home healthcare environments. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in a dynamic healthcare setting. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to patients and clients. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication reminders while ensuring patient comfort and dignity. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report changes promptly to medical staff. Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems in compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Support patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts; employ proper patient transfer techniques to prevent injury. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers following strict medication administration protocols. Provide specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or end-of-life needs within home health or long-term care settings. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care and wound management while maintaining sterile techniques. Ensure a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks including laundry and meal preparation to promote overall well-being. Follow all home health care regulations and safety protocols including first aid and basic life support (BLS) procedures to respond effectively in emergencies. Experience Proven experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant or caregiver in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient care procedures, and documentation standards required for home health agencies. Prior experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities such as dementia or developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient transfer methods and equipment including Hoyer lifts; ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary. Experience providing hospice or end-of-life care with sensitivity and compassion is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in Alzheimer's or memory care are a plus. $26.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
