Mount Carmel Care Center, a Catholic not-for-profit skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in North Adams, MA, is seeking a compassionate Weekend Warrior to support our residents on Saturdays and Sundays. In this resident-centered role, you'll assist older adults with daily living activities, comfort, and mobility while promoting dignity, respect, and safety. Working closely with our nursing and rehab teams, you'll help carry out individualized care plans, observe and report changes, and foster warm relationships with residents in a faith-informed, teamwork-focused environment dedicated to high-quality elder care. Responsibilities Provide hands-on support with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding). Assist residents with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while following fall-prevention protocols. Monitor and report changes in residents' condition, comfort, or behavior to nursing staff. Support a warm, dignified, and person-centered environment aligned with Catholic values. Document care and observations accurately in accordance with facility procedures. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to follow individualized care plans. Engage residents in socialization and simple activities to promote comfort and well-being. Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times. Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and team members. Work scheduled weekend shifts reliably to ensure consistent resident care coverage.
