Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort. Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices are followed at all times. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, including symptoms related to infectious diseases or behavioral health concerns. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records and care notes precisely. Provide emotional support and effective communication tailored to patients' needs, especially those with dementia or memory care requirements. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
