Role OverviewAs a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). What You Will DoPerform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.

Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.

Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.

QualificationsWhat You Will NeedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) ORcurrently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course ORForeign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license ORMedical Assistant program with or without experience ORAt least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Preferred QualificationsCNA certification preferred.
