Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to patients across various care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have experience working with diverse populations, including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Maintain detailed medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or behavioral health needs through compassionate engagement. Assist with complex procedures including catheter care, wound dressing changes, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Facilitate safe patient transfers and mobility exercises while practicing manual handling and safe lifting practices. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams in acute care environments such as ICU or trauma centers. Support discharge planning and home & community care initiatives by educating patients and families on health management. Ensure compliance with all safety standards including Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR certification, and infection control protocols.
