Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various clinical settings. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' daily needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity while adhering to established healthcare standards and protocols. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately. Support patients with medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices. Observe and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures. Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or behavioral health requirements. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations. Experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care facilities or similar settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical documentation standards. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) and medical record management. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or complex health needs. Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire; CPR certification is required.
