Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across diverse settings. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and ensure that patients receive respectful, personalized care that promotes comfort, safety, and well-being. Your energy, empathy, and commitment will help create a nurturing environment for individuals of all ages and health conditions. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to foster independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with tasks like catheter care and wound management. Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting care activities thoroughly in medical records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs. Support specialized care units including memory care, dementia care, hospice, ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or post-acute settings as required. Experience Prior experience working in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly valued. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Familiarity with assisted living environments or home & community care enhances your ability to deliver personalized patient service. Exposure to critical care areas like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous for those seeking advanced clinical skills. Proven ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges across various healthcare settings. Strong caregiving skills complemented by knowledge of infection control practices such as aseptic technique and safe lifting practices. Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
