Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to promote comfort, safety, and well-being for our patients across various healthcare settings. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures and assisting with basic medical tasks such as specimen collection or phlebotomy. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and records. Operate patient transfer methods safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and adhere to safe manual handling practices during patient mobility. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff or physicians to facilitate timely interventions. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Provide emotional support and effective caregiver communication to foster trust and comfort for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including long-term care residents, seniors, pediatric patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions. Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration support, and basic life support (BLS) certification. Experience in specialized care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; manual handling skills are essential. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient service. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of all medical records and patient information. Competence in using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer methods safely and effectively.
