CNA Full Job Description Part-time Evening Shift Certified Nursing Assistant Hours:

2:45 p.m. - 11:15 p.m.

Pay:

$22.97/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential Little Sisters of the Poor - Jeanne Jugan Center Kansas City About the Position We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide person-centered care to our elderly residents. The CNA supports residents with daily personal care and mobility needs while promoting dignity, independence, choice, and respect. What You'll Do Provide compassionate, respectful, person-centered care to residents. Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, feeding, and other personal care needs. Assist with walking, transferring, positioning, and transporting residents using proper techniques and assistive equipment. Promote resident independence and encourage residents to participate in their own care whenever possible. Observe residents and promptly report changes in physical condition, behavior, nutrition, hydration, or other concerns to nursing staff. Support residents with dementia and other age-related needs using appropriate communication and good judgment. Follow infection control, safety, emergency, and confidentiality procedures. Assist with restorative services such as range-of-motion exercises, positioning, ambulation, and bowel/bladder programs as directed. Respect resident privacy, personal belongings, preferences, and rights. Work cooperatively with nursing staff and other departments as part of the healthcare team. Attend required training, in-services, and department meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current CNA certification/registration in good standing with the applicable state nursing assistant registry. CPR/BLS certification and ability to maintain current certification. Minimum of grammar school education; high school education preferred. Previous long-term care experience is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills, including electronic medical record systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely position and move residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
