Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support clinical staff by preparing patient rooms, changing linens, and maintaining a clean and safe environment following aseptic techniques. Assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper patient transfer methods are followed to promote safety. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient service and support positive caregiving experiences. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and record management. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient handling and infection control. Experience in various healthcare environments including hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, outpatient clinics, or home & community care settings. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics; experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts preferred. Certification in CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) required; additional skills such as medication administration or phlebotomy are advantageous.
