The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The Nurse's Aide will engage with patients, monitor their health, and assist with daily living activities while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients. Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Support patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's disease. Administer medications as directed by nursing staff and ensure proper documentation. Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Experience Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas: Long-term care experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Hospital experience, particularly in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care. Knowledge of phlebotomy practices and basic life support techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms. Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, or home care settings is preferred. Understanding of medical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations is essential.
